CSE is a privately held, woman-owned business seeking a full-time hybrid role for a Software Engineering Manager located in Peoria, IL. The Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for both back-end and front-end web development, software development, and quality assurance analysts. Some work from home is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Back-End Web Development and Front-End Development
• Experience with Full-Stack Development and Software Development
• Familiarity with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with more than 5 years of experience
• Experience with Agile methodologies, waterfall, Scrum, and project management principals
• Ability to maintain a high-quality documentation and attention to detail
• A passion for leading team members and mentoring developers in their professional development needs and aspirations
• Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, Web API, .NET, SQL Server, AWS, Azure, Entity Framework Core, object-oriented programming, and the best practices surrounding OOP
• Knowledge of unit testing strategies, relational databases, understanding of web-based application development technologies, understanding of source/version control
• Solid understanding of quality control in the software development life cycle space
• Ability to work independently or in a small team on time-critical projects
• Ability to interact with colleagues and customers in a professional manner
• Demonstrate independent thoughts, quick learner, and demonstrate effective communication skills
• Led Projects that involve integration with external stakeholders and third party APIs
• Plan and manage release schedules, upgrades and patches, maintenance windows.

• Ability to develop short- and long-term strategies for developing scalable software products and services, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while meeting quality standards and business objectives.

• Collaborate with other departments to align development goals with the overall organizational strategy.
• Monitor and report on progress toward goals and the effectiveness of development strategies.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

Bonus Skills and Experience:

• Certifications in Microsoft, AWS, Azure, or test automation
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0 protocols, React, Angular, MVC web development, HTML/CSS, NoSQL databases, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and other third-party software development tools
• Knowledge of REST APIs, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, React.js, Angular, HTML, MySQl, Sql Server, MongoDB, GitHub, Azure SQl database,
• Knowledge of legacy methodologies
