Software Engineer (Mid-level)

We are looking for a Software Engineer for Java-based Enterprise Application development. You will be part of a co-located team of teams that is Diverse, Dynamic, and Driven as they innovate the systems and services of a next-generation digital marketing platform for large enterprise clients. You will be both challenged and empowered to help drive progress and direction.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Building Java Springboot-based Microservices in orchestrated environments
• Develop systems, infrastructure, database, and data models for a SaaS-based enterprise application that are resilient, performant, and secure.
• Implement integrated software, hardware, and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting services in a distributed SOA enterprise
• Work with other engineers and product management to define and implement enterprise systems that ensure performance, scalability, maintainability, extensibility, and application integration with external systems.
• Proactively engage in all testing efforts, including unit testing, load testing, end-to-end testing, validation testing, user acceptance testing, security scanning, and penetration testing.

Who You Are:

• Your passion is backend engineering and solving complex problems
• Have a minimum of three years of experience in Java enterprise development
• Experience building Java Springboot-based Microservices in orchestrated environments
• Experience deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting services in a distributed SOA enterprise
• Experience in writing highly secure web applications
• Have a growth mindset that challenges the status quo and focuses on outside-the-box ideas and solutions
• Have an excellent foundation in computer science, algorithms, and web design
• Experience with most of the following technologies:
• Web services integrations (REST and SOAP)
• Traditional SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
• SQL (MySQL, Postgres, etc.) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, etc.)
• Message Queues (Kafka, Kinesis, RabbitMQ, etc.)
• Build tools (Maven/Gradle, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, etc.)
• Familiarity with or integrating with CRM systems

Bonus:

• Experience with core AWS web-enabling technologies
• Demonstrates innovative code development approaches and supports programming, database development, and application integration efforts.
• Proactively engages in all testing efforts, including unit testing, load testing, end-to-end testing, validation testing, user acceptance testing, security scanning, and penetration testing.
• Experience with Marketing Technology is a bonus

Compensation:

The anticipated annual compensation for this position will be $120,000 - $140,000. Compensation packages are based on a combination of factors, including the selected candidate's skills, experience as well as internal and external equity.
