We are seeking highly motivated Software Engineers to support the development and sustainment of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) anti-ballistic missile system project in Huntsville, AL.The selected candidate will provide technical leadership for performance modeling and simulation(M S) and support planning with the Product M S Teams. GWS productdevelopment, support, and delivery of medium (real time and non-real time)GMD simulations. GMD isthe United States' anti-ballistic missile system for intercepting incoming warheads in space, during the midcourse phase of ballistic trajectory flight.It is a major component of the American missile defense strategy to counter ballistic missiles in defense of the homeland.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or STEM +2 years of experience; Masters Degree + 0 years of experience
• Active Secret clearance is required
• Strong C++, Object Oriented Development, and Test Driven Development experience is required
• Have a general understanding of the Layered Test approach
• Able to understand high level requirements and decompose them to the appropriate level or products, while executing a DevSecOps (development, security, and operations) approach (Jenkins, etc.)
• Profound experience in build scripting, distributed systems, and containerized application development
• Deep background in Scripting Automation / Tools Development
• Extensive experience with Python and Scientific scripting languages
• Detailed knowledge of Windows and Unix environments
• Experienced software developer
• Hands on experience with DoD integration processes and Agile/DevOps methodologies
• Strong GitHub background (repositories, branches, commits, pull requests), Bitbucket, Version Control and Repository management, Data/Configuration management
• Root cause analysis, ability to analyze large data log files
