How will you make an impact?
You will be a key contributor in designing software for new scientific instruments to aid groundbreaking scientists to study cancer and other disease processes- from basic research through drug discovery. Working within an innovative software team that develops software that controls automated equipment for sample processing, it will allow the scientist to interact with instrument features to aid the scientific community in making new advancements faster!
What will you do?
- System Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design software systems for scientific instruments.
- Platform Development: Engage in software platform development, encompassing instrument communication.
- Problem Solving: Apply well-practiced problem-solving skills to address challenges within a greenfield technical landscape.
- Design Patterns: Implement well-established design patterns to enhance the maintainability and extensibility of the codebase.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop comprehensive testing strategies, ensuring high-quality code through regular testing practices.
- Innovation and Collaboration: Foster a culture of innovation, actively participating in brainstorming sessions, and collaborating on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build Pipeline Maintenance: Develop and maintain the build pipeline, supporting the packaging and internal deployment of libraries and solutions.
- User Story Translation: Assist the product owner in translating scientific research needs into user stories and requirements.
How will you get here?
Education
BS in Computer Science or Chemistry (with a software focus) or equivalent
Experience
- 2+ years of C# .NET experience
