Software Engineer: Quality of Life Enhancements, Bugs, and Internal Tools
Job Description
You will be working on the web-based version of the Skimmer application. Your primary responsibilities are to:
- Deliver quality of life enhancements to the app driven by issues surfaced by the Customer-facing teams.
- Resolve bugs and issues surfaced by the Customer-facing teams.
- Enhance the administrative side of the Skimmer application.
- Support our Go to Market efforts; including API integrations of relevant tools
This is a critical role that supports the business initiatives that will grow Skimmer to become the beating heart of the pool industry, and support (as of the writing of this job description) 3,700+ small and medium sized businesses who trust Skimmer with their livelihoods - our pool pros.
You'll be a hero to our awesome Customer Support team, and embrace the notion that little changes make a big difference in the lives of our users.
Requirements
What You Bring to the Table
- 5+ years of shipping web-based applications to production
- Experience with backend technologies (C# / .NET Framework / ASP.NET MVC / Web API)
- Experience with frontend technologies (JavaScript / jQuery / DOM / HTML / CSS)
- Experience with unit/integration testing and mocking frameworks (xUnit / nUnit / Moq / FakeItEasy)
- Experience building and deploying code to managed cloud services in Azure
- Experience with SQL Server and Entity Framework
- Experience using Git based source control (Command Line / GitHub / Azure DevOps)
