We are seeking for an experienced Software Engineer to help guide our journey towards becoming a world-class engineering team. Located in Eastern Time Zone. The key person for Lead Cloud Application for Jira, Confluence, and Secrets Management.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact and first point of escalation for Jira, Confluence and Secrets management services
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Data Center versions of Jira and Confluence
- Collaborate with team members on support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of other enterprise applications such as Vault, Secret Server, JetBrains, Stoplight, and Autodesk custom software applications
- Manage resource allocation and prioritize work to ensure resource effectiveness
- Interact with and support customer's ad-hoc questions through Slack and other service delivery and operations platforms
- Leverage industry-leading/modern practices that allow for rapid iteration and customer-centric experiences, adopt and partner in the evolution of existing engineering, automation, and support practices currently in-place
- Engage with customers to understand business requirements and determine the best implementation path
- Install, test, and implement new versions of applications or platforms
- Ensure the reliability and security of applications and the associated infrastructure
- Troubleshoot integrations to and from numerous external systems
- Implement corrective actions to avert system degradations or possible outages from OS and application layer
- Collaborate on development and platform administration efforts that are aligned with strategic goals using the Agile practices
- Define and document best practices, policies, and standards that ensure a resilient highly available service stack that delights internal customers
- Assist L1/L2 services teams to deliver high caliber, zero-touch and automated support for Jira, Confluence, and other applications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related quantitative field, or equivalent experience/certifications
- In-depth experience in configuration and support of Jira and Confluence, including integrations and a diverse assortment of apps
- Deals well with ambiguous or undefined problems; ability to think abstractly and guide others
- Comfortable performing requirements analysis, interfacing with stakeholders of various levels and documenting solutions
- Excellent interpersonal skills in written and verbal format
- Effectively work as a member of a highly adaptable, multi-discipline team
- Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-team/Geo model to ensure successful management of operational tasks (setting resolution expectations, ensuring proper escalation, and/or hand-offs as needed, etc.)
- Experience with Linux and Bash; comfortable on the Unix command line
- Demonstrable IT knowledge commensurate with DevOps in an Enterprise in the public cloud (AWS)
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and ability to work in a scrum team
Preferred Qualification
- 4+ years of experience working in Jira and Confluence applications
- 2+ years of experience in Technical Support for an enterprise application
- Working knowledge of the following Amazon Web Services: EC2, S3, Lambda, Auto-Scaling, DynamoDB/Aurora, CloudWatch/Trail, and Terraform
- Knowledge of / experience with one or more major enterprise applications
- Advanced interpersonal skills to effectively promote ideas, collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders to reach decisions
- Proven ability to communicate deep technical topics/solutions to non-technical stakeholders and guide the engineering team in doing so
- Strong passion and experience in delivering and supporting high-performance, customer-focused solutions
- Experience with leveraging Agile practices and related Scrum processes to rapidly deliver valuable technical and software solutions to the enterprise
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Successful implementation of process improvement initiatives
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, documentation, and analytical skills

- Is familiar with all or some of the following: AWS and associated services, Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, Vault, Secret Server, and ITIL practices
