Software Engineer - Review & Improve team (Node.js, Typescript, Go)

Our Opportunity

Our Review & Improve group is on a mission to empower developers by making Snyk an integral part of their workflow within platforms like GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket. In this role, you'll join a talented team of engineers who are building the critical internal APIs that act as the bridge between Snyk developers and source code management platforms.

You'll leverage your expertise to design and implement robust APIs that empower other teams to build intuitive and seamless experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of Snyk's developer experience and make a real difference in the way developers approach secure coding practices.

You’ll Spend Your Time:

• Designing and implementing technical solutions in TypeScript and Golang, prioritizing an exceptional, secure developer experience.
• Support and contribute to innovative projects, rallying with the team in building industry-leading, cutting-edge services.
• Maintaining and improving coding standards for creating reliable, observable, and scalable systems.
• Embracing our 'One Team' value by collaborating extensively across various departments and geographies, fostering a culture of inclusion and transparency.
• Engaging with our product partners and our customer representatives to understand what we build and why, demonstrating that we “Care Deeply” and we’re building “Customer Centric”.
• Collaborating with teammates through pair programming and code reviews, working with others in both synchronous and asynchronous settings.
• Offering and receiving feedback, prioritizing its implementation, and ensuring that both you and those around have growth opportunities.
• Participating in ensuring the stability and reliability of our services, both during regular schedule and outside in on-call rotations (compensated).

What You’ll Need:

• 3+ years’ experience building microservices and RESTful APIs in TypeScript and/or Go.
• A passion for developer experiences and a deep understanding of their challenges and needs.
• Production experience with CI/CD tools, Kubernetes, Docker.

We’d be Lucky if You:

• Believe we can do more than just review pull requests, and want to unlock that belief.
• Have been working with integrations for GitHub Apps, Bitbucket Connect.
• Have experience with building internal APIs or platform capabilities.
• Are familiar with Application Security, DevSecOps, AST (SAST, SCA, IAST, DAST), or developer tooling
