Software Engineer (SDET)

Role Summary

The Firewall Access Server team works primarily on providing SFOS IAM services to various clients. The Team works on features & enhancements related to Firewall integration with Authentication Services like Active Directory, LDAP, Single Sign-On, RADIUS, TACACS.

As part of the role, you will Design, Develop, maintain test plan, test automation suites, system testbeds for the Firewall features. Enhance the existing Test suite & automation for better coverage & quality as part of Continuous Improvements. You will be an integral part of the feature scrum team and participate in new feature Test Cycles, improve existing features as part of Maintenance Releases.

What you will do

• Development of Test plans and Test Strategies, Experience designing and executing test cases based on high-level requirements or use cases
• Report Defects for test failures and drive it to closure.
• Develop and Enhance Test automation frameworks as per Product feature needs
• Active Participation in Design discussions and Architecture discussions.
• Represent Engineering team at the customer site as per requirement
• Ability to learn and understand complex systems and technical issues
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Ability to prioritize, focus and drive tasks to completion
• Devotion to producing high quality, high performance systems
• Keen troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
• Ability to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to the overall teams capabilities

What will you bring

• Up to 4 years of total working experience
• 2 or more years of hands on experience in automation testing for Networking / Network Security domain.
• Should have strong knowledge/working experience in Test automation development using Java/Python/Perl script.
• Strong hands-on knowledge and experience in testing of IAM Technologies like Authentication Services like Active Directory, LDAP, Single Sign-On, RADIUS, TACACS.
• Working knowledge of Hashing, Encryption, Sessions, Tokens & supporting technologies.
• Prior working knowledge of networking server technologies and protocols (HTTP, TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, Radius, DNS and Proxy Servers, Load Balancers).
• Solid Debugging skills – to read/understand & corelate logs, events & other indicators to isolate problems. Nice to have exposure to Core Dump Analysis.
• Understanding of Multi-platform issues for UNIX, Mac, and Windows environments.
• Experience with the Agile Methodology and continuous integration (i.e., nightly build and release) is a plus.
