Software Engineer (Senior)

Senior Software Engineer Jacksonville, FL | CTH #GRPB Responsibilities: • Develop, modify, and configure train simulation software inC++using Microsoft Visual Studio. • Lead hardware/software development and integration phases of projects. • Troubleshoot and debug complex systems and perform hands-on hardware integration testing. • Act as a technical customer liaison, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. • Provide technical leadership to engineers and technicians, supporting installations, testing, and updates. • Contribute to maintenance, upgrades, and efficiency improvements. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field. • 3+ years of C++ experience (multi-threading, MFC, Visual Studio). • 2+ years of software architecture and project leadership. • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and OOP skills. Desired Skills: • VBA, PHP, JavaScript, Perl, SQL, Python, QT UI, batch scripting. • REST API integration, GIS data knowledge. • Trello/Kanban, modeling/simulation, or railway industry experience a plus. • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
