Software Engineer - Spot Platform

As a Software Engineer on the Spot Platform team, you will be part of a highly collaborative group that is passionate about innovation - and of course, robots! In this role you will have the opportunity to design and develop video streaming and processing software for Spot.

How you will make an impact:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain software algorithms for image and video processing, stitching, and other computer vision tasks
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize the performance and accuracy of the camera system
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code that can be easily maintained by others
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in computer vision and related fields, and integrate them into our system when appropriate
• Work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines

We are looking for:

• 2+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on computer vision and video/image processing
• Proficiency in C++ and Python
• Experience with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV, Tensorflow, and/or PyTorch
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Nice to have:

• Experience with developing computer vision applications for cameras or other sensors
• Experience with embedded systems and real-time processing
