Job Title:  Sr. Software Engineer (Master Data Management) 

Job Duties:  

Move, Inc., a subsidiary of News Corp, is a leading provider of online real estate services and operates the Move network of real estate websites (including realtor.com®, Moving.com, and others) and mobile experiences for consumers and real estate professionals. 

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Software Engineer (Master Data Management) to join our team in the Austin, TX office. This position will be responsible for development, implementation, and operational support of the Master Data Management platform and its services. In addition, this position will work with the engineering, product, data team, and other stakeholders to create enterprise-grade, high performing well-tested business applications. 

Job responsibilities and duties include: 

  • Develop enterprise-scale solutions that involve complex, multi-system integrations, possibly across business units or domains
  • Design and develop PL/SQL and Rest APIs or web-services consuming clients for data push/pull for both upstream and downstream applications
  • Lead and manage master data management and data governance projects through all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Proficient in assisting with data and business integration activities around customer data 
  • Actively participate as a leader in the analysis, design, development, configuration, documentation, testing, performance studies, and implementation of mission-critical processes and integrations
  • Responsible for data governance and ensuring that best practices are followed to maintain data quality
  • Ability to work with cross-functional/technical team members to document requirements, create functional designs, and to provide developers with Oracle EBS development process expertise in applicable methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)

This position has no direct reports and does not supervise or manage any other personnel. 

Minimum Requirements:   

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or any related IT or Engineering field of study, plus at least five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in any related position(s). 
  • Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, knowledge, skill, and experience (through education or employment) with the following:
    1. Demonstrated experience with Oracle MDM suite CDH (Customer Data Hub) or any other MDM's
    2. Oracle PL/SQL to design, create, maintain, and document PL/SQL packages and procedures
    3. Data analysis, data capture, and data mapping
    4. Data Migrations to MDM from different Sources using APIs
    5. Demonstrated ability with de-duplication, Address Matching, Data Cleansing, Data Profiling, and IDQ Integrations
    6. AWS Services ElasticSearch, RDS, or DMS including building data pipelines
    7. One or more of the following database systems and analytical tools: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or In-memory Databases
    8. Demonstrated experience with ETL tools and Java Components
    9. Data integration and architecture for highly distributed systems
