Software Engineer - UI/UX

Are you an expert Web UI Software Developer? We are searching for someone with skills in UX, mock-up/wireframe tooling, and relational database queries. A background in software development and a passion for delivering streamlined user experiences are highly desired. As a key individual contributor on our team, you'll own design and implementation of web front-end applications and views for internal tools that our infrastructure specialists use to deliver AI Factory deployments across the globe. This role requires a problem solver who can incorporate feedback into polished interfaces users are happy to work with!

What you'll be doing:

• Build front-end web applications against our back-end APIs
• Collaborate with customers and collaborators to craft and mock-up pages and views that align with business objectives
• Influence the design of back-end APIs to improve them for suitability by front-end and make the end-to-end solution better

What we need to see:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years work experience in front-end software development, building web applications with frameworks (React or similar) while maintaining quality and scalability
• Knowledge and experience on how to provide an User Interface (UI) Design
• 2+ years experience in one or more general development languages like Python, C/C++ - Experience in writing efficient SQL through both raw queries and ORMs
• Proficiency in version control systems (e.g. Git, Perforce)
• Experience making data visualizations (with Plotly, d3, Highcharts, Bokeh)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to determine root causes and implement effective solutions
• Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with others in a team environment
• Solid understanding of deploying applications in Linux

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Experience deploying containerized applications, including with orchestration technologies (e.g. Swarm, Kubernetes)
• Have a portfolio of projects or open-source contributions that showcase your UI development skills
• Experience with HPC clusters and technologies, especially Slurm, or experience with batch or streaming workloads other cloud-native orchestrators like Kubernetes/Rancher, Mesos or HashiCorp Nomad
• Knowledge of system network provisioning and deployment processes, automated OS installation
