Software Engineer- Work from home- Evernorth

Cigna, a leading Health Services company, is looking for a data engineer/software developer. The Engineer is responsible for the delivery of a business need end-to-end starting from understanding the requirements to deploying the software into production. This role requires you to be fluent in some of the critical technologies with proficiency in others and have a hunger to learn on the job and add value to the business. Critical attributes of being an Engineer, among others, is ownership & accountability.

In addition to Delivery, the Engineer should have an automation first and continuous improvement mindset. He/She should drive the adoption of tools and support the improvement of the tools sets/processes.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience with Kafka, Hadoop or Databricks, Python, SQL and Unix
• Knowledge and/or experience with Health care information domains is a plus

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 95,900 - 159,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
