Software Engineering Advisor

Must be a current contractor with Cigna Healthcare, Evernorth Health Services, or one of their subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

• Provides expert content/professional leadership on complex Engineering assignments/projects.
• Works with Senior Advisor to define standards, patterns and frameworks to deliver the initiatives.
• Participates in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, from requirement gathering to design and implementation, to ensure business needs are being addressed.
• Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives.
• Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders.
• Focuses on providing thought leadership within Information Management but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business.
• Engage in production support research and resolution recommendations, as required
• Participates in process improvement and cross-departmental IT initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be a current contractor with Cigna Healthcare, Evernorth Health Services, or one of their subsidiaries.
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelors in Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience and technical knowledge.
• 5+ years proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of Front-end languages and libraries (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, JQuery)
• Experienced in database, web servers and UI/UX design
• Docker experience a plus
• CI/CD a plus
• Azure DevOps, GitHub, TFS
• Exposure to Architectural Patterns and Development Best Practices
• Unit Testing, Test Driven Development and use of mocking frameworks.
• Angular 5+ a plus, .net Core
• Experience building in Event Driven Architecture a plus
• Familiarity with the Manufacturing Application Development preferred
• Experience working in Agile SDLC
