About the Role:

As a Software Development Engineer Intern at Remitly, you will report to the engineering manager for the Remittance Network Expansion team and contribute to a collaborative product development team. You will work on meaningful and impactful projects over the course of approximately three months. If you enjoy learning new languages and ways of approaching challenging problems, come join us.

This internship will be based in our New Westminster, BC office.

You Will:

• Learn how engineering teams plan and work on complex projects
• Learn how software is developed and deployed with modern tools and languages at a fast-growing technology company
• Gain experience with cloud services such as AWS
• Work collaboratively with other engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to meet the needs of our customers

You Have:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science or related area with an anticipated graduation date of late 2025 or Spring 2026, and available to start in a January 2025 coop start date
• Knowledge of fundamental data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis
• Familiarity with at least one general purpose language (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, Python, Ruby, or Go)
• Interest in a collaborative working environment, where you will learn from experienced software engineers

Compensation Details. The hourly rate for this role is typically CA$42 an hour
