Job Description We have embarked on a major transformation and public cloud journey for our technology platforms to deliver banking solutions to our clients across Consumer, Business and Core banking. We are looking for a business-minded, technically oriented leader who has the edge, and execution capability to drive transformation and cloud Adoption. Leading the cloud and middleware services you will be leading the engineering teams to apply technology concepts to the problems of today. You will collaborate closely with all the product teams and tech partners to guide and provide any support towards their cloud and modernization journey.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead a transformation journey across a globally distributed engineering teams to deliver best in class software solutions for across Consumer, Business and Core banking
  • Mentor and lead the teams through transitions of the platform from current to target state
  • Partner with product teams and tech partners, and cross functional leaders to deliver best-in-class solutions that meet the needs of the business and our customers
  • Promote the development of reusable frameworks to help accelerate the time to market for new business capabilities
  • Provide thought leadership to the enterprise on key industry and technology trends
  • Stay current on new and emerging trends in cloud computing and evaluate their potential and adoption criteria.
  • Introduce tools and platforms that allow increased level of automation
  • Lead the drive towards self-organized and autonomous teams towards cloud and modernization journey
  • Build and support constructs such as Blue/Green deployment, A/B testing, feature toggles, external configurations. Catalyst Teams (Test Automation, CI/CD, TDD/BDD, Cloud migration, Agile)
  • Establish fundamentals around Design, Testing, DDD, API's, Cloud, Microservices

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in a software development environment
  • 5+ years' experience with modern software engineering technologies and tool sets
  • Strong client service orientation with ability to bring a customer-centric perspective to all situations
  • Ability to drive transformation of platforms, processes, and people
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior executives and customers
  • Prior experience leading a software engineering organization through transformation in a large enterprise environment
  • Experience with evaluating emerging technologies and recommending potential partnerships that provide efficiencies and competitive advantage within the tech stack
  • Knowledge of service-oriented and event-driven architectures
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and container-based technologies both in cloud and on-prem
  • Proven experience in establishing a vision, developing the strategy to support the vision, gaining consensus across key functional leadership through effective communication, and driving action towards the vision through the effective management of goals and objectives.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) with ability to communicate at multiple levels ranging from technologists to senior managers and executive leadership
