We are seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our PatientSecure Engineering team! This team is responsible for the development of PatientSecure product, which utilizes biometric identification to link patients to their correct medical records. PatientSecure improves patient safety and satisfaction, eliminates duplicate medical records and guards against identity theft and insurance fraud.
This is a full-time summer internship opportunity based in Imprivata's Waltham, MA office with a potential for remote work. In this role you will be part of an agile team working on a variety of challenging projects to help move the application from on-premises to cloud. You will have the opportunity to work with a group of talented and motivated engineers to solve problems with high level of complexity. You will interface with a variety of roles during the product lifecycle including Development, QA, Product Management, User Experience, and Release Management.
Required Qualifications:

• Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C# or Java
• Knowledge of integrated development environments such as Visual Studio or Eclipse
• Knowledge of Web and UI Development
• Solid knowledge of computer fundamentals
• Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server or Postgres
• In pursuit of a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering

• Self-sufficient, able to complete projects with little guidance
• Detail oriented; able to multi-task; strong organizational skills
• Willingness to learn with a passion for programming
• Previous work experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to solve complex problems by thinking analytically and creatively

Physical Requirements:

• This role is regularly required to walk, climb stairs, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone
