The Resin CMS team at Hearst Magazines is looking for a motivated individual that wants to learn what it is like to work on enterprise software. This intern will want to learn more than just writing code -- they will want to learn about all the processes that are involved in making a product (specifically, a CMS which is built on a modern JavaScript tech stack). As a software engineering intern, you will work closely with the Tech Lead and team.
This person should be excited to do the highest quality of work for a high visibility, high impact product.
What you'll do
- Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies
- Estimate and scope increments of work
- Write code with guidance from a senior engineer
- Learn and adhere to the organization's best practices
Who You Are
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science graduating in December 2023 or onwards.
- You have the ability to write JavaScript.
- You have an understanding of software engineering principles.
- Experience with React and Node.js is a plus.
- You can communicate effectively.
- You are a team player.
The salary for this internship role is $25 / hour. Benefits/perks may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Hearst and the business unit you will join. This will be a hybrid position based out of our NYC office.
