Position Summary

Bracco Medical Technologies (BMT) is seeking 3 Software Engineering Interns, one for each for our Test Automation, Injector (device), and Digital Health focuses. You will be matched based on skills, projects, and interests. Under the direction of a software engineer, the Software Engineering Intern will contribute to one or more projects within the focus area. The projects will provide exposure to the various phases of the development lifecycle including requirements, development, and testing while adding value to our products.

Test Automation -

Focus on quality by bringing our automated testing capabilities to the next level by adding to our test suites, improving the test framework, and decreasing test execution time.

Primary technologies: Python/C#

Injector (device) -

The injector focus area will work in areas related to features/functionality of our physical devices and the supporting infrastructure.

Primary technologies: C#/WPF

Digital Health -

Our Digital Health area is focused on server and cloud solutions to connect our products.

Primary technologies: C#/Angular

Training to be Provided

Students will be exposed to working with various operations and product support departments within BMT. They will learn key requirements that need to be followed in a regulated environment such as the medical device industry. Training may cover relevant aspects of medical device development procedures, along with more specific aspects related to BMT products.

Additionally, our interns and co-ops benefit from a buddy program, career development in programming, and opportunities to build their professional networks virtually and in-person with BMT professionals.

Qualifications

Required:

• Engineering student enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's Engineering Program focused on software or computer engineering.
• Knowledge/experience with Object Oriented programming in C#, Java, and/or C++
• Basic knowledge/experience with Python programming language
• Basic understanding of Agile development methodology
• Beginner understanding of source code management systems like Git
• Basic debugging and troubleshooting skills

Preferred:

• Knowledge/experience developing GUI is a plus
• Knowledge/experience with C# programming
• Understanding of development methodologies
• Knowledge/experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools and is a plus
• Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, and Software Test Life Cycle
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Beginner technical writing and presentation skills

Job Location

• Eden Prairie, MN (no relocation or housing assistance available).

Term/Hours

• January or May start date
• Hours: 40 hours per week
