About our Team
Our Health Platform Technology team helps accelerate the development of a cohesive data platform by delivering self-service components in service of Health Markets. We support the secure access of products, services, and data through identity management, access controls, and API management.
About the Role
As a Software Engineering Lead, you'll be a key part of our Agile development squad. You'll help in building and scaling software tooling, while ensuring that it continuously generates value for all our app dev teams. You focus on lowering the barrier to entry by building the right tools and documentation that enable engineers to onboard faster. You will liaison with Technical Product Manager (TPM) and value stream products to capture requirements, mentor direct reports, share your knowledge, and deliver solutions using your technical expertise.

About the Role
As a Software Engineering Lead, you'll be a key part of our Agile development squad. You'll help in building and scaling software tooling, while ensuring that it continuously generates value for all our app dev teams. Responsibilities
- Working with the team in building an intelligent shareable data repository.
- Developing using Java/Python AWS microservice architecture environment and modern Node.js based JavaScript.
- Designing software across multiple systems.
- Mentor and develop career development plan for direct reports.
- Translating user/customer requests into solutions.
Requirements
- Have substantial software engineering experience.
- Have a BS degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Have experience in building RESTful micro services using Spring Boot.
- Be able to partner and collaborate across teams to solve problems and deliver innovative solutions to our customers.
- Have experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Have AWS development/deployment experience or in similar cloud-based platforms.
- Have detailed experience of Agile software development methodologies using tools such as GIT, Jira, and Confluence.
- Have a natural ability to engage, influence and build relationships with stakeholders and teams across the business.
- Thrive on working collaboratively and enjoy supporting, mentoring and motivating your team members.
