Software Engineering Lead

We are currently seeking a Software Engineering Lead to join our team of talented Software Developers and Data Scientists, dedicated to delivering a more sustainable future. Our commitment to excellence has led us to assemble a world-class team, and we are dedicated to building the best products of their kind in the market.

Your responsibilities:-

• Leading a software team, providing clear direction and guidance to achieve our shared goals
• Defining the organisational structure and best practises of the team
• Providing line management for the team, fostering growth and development
• Offering technical guidance to the team and when necessary, engage in software development
• Collaborate closely with Principal Developers to define the software architecture
• Work alongside Product Managers to define product requirements
• Take ownership of the team’s wellbeing, deliverables and software quality

We will support your personal growth across multiple aspects of the technology stack, catering to your interests and abilities. Our team is known for leveraging functional programming and type systems to build pragmatic and flexible systems to satisfy business requirements. 

Required skills:

• BSc, MSc in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
• A minimum of 7 years experience in software development
• A minimum of 4 years experience in team leadership
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing 
• Proficiency in user interface development

Good to have:

• Experience with Functional Programming or interest in the paradigm
• Experience in AWS using Serverless technologies
• Background in Data Science and Machine Learning
• Proficiency in Rust
• An interest in the renewable energy sector and/or IoT

Duration: Full-time

Location: Fully remote work within the UK. You're also welcome to work from our office in Liverpool Street, London (UK), as frequently as you desire.
