We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Lead with a proven record of accomplishment of building frameworks and platforms supporting large scale systems.

As a Software Engineering Lead in Lab45 Platform org you will,

• Be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of software frameworks and platforms that will be used by other software engineers to build applications.
• Drive technical vision, strategy, innovation, and roadmap for the Platform and frameworks.
• Work with stakeholders and customers to understand requirements and provide technical solutions
• Drive adoption of open source and champion inner sourcing
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure that software is of the highest quality and meets customer requirements

• Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations to improve software development processes
• Stay up-to-date with the latest software development trends and technologies
• Review and approve software design and code changes to ensure they align with established standards and best practices
• Develop and maintain documentation for the software framework and platform
• Model company values and behaviors and help foster a culture of innovation, engineering excellence and product inclusion

• Inspire and grow future technologists through active mentorship programs and training sessions

• Bachelor's degree in engineering-related field (computer science, electrical engineering, etc.) or equivalent practical experience
• Experience developing frameworks/platform with minimum of 6-8 years in large scale software development

• Strong experience with software architecture and design patterns
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, such as Java, Python, and C++
• Experience defining & implementing PDLC and DevOps processes
• Strong leadership skills and experience leading teams of software engineers
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of software engineers across multiple geographical locations

• Experience taking ideas from inception to launch to widespread adoption
• Championing major change and driving adoption across multiple organizations
• Strong negotiation, communication, and influence skills
