Software Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:

• Be a coach, mentor, support system, and leader for a Spain-based, distributed, and diverse development team.
• Grow, manage, and inspire the team. You will be responsible for hiring new engineers and providing the mentoring and training platform so that they become productive team members. You will guide them and create career plans for junior and senior engineers in the team.
• Develop and track key metrics for team performance. You ensure the team has a clear understanding of the direction of the product, and the reasoning behind decisions. 
• Work with other Engineering Managers and leaders to define and evolve the 1RTI culture of our engineering team.

Requirements:

• You are a leader with a proven track record of strong people management skills. You have at least 4 years of people management experience in software engineering teams of 10+ engineers. You have experience in recruiting, onboarding, and training high-performing teammates. 
• You have experience managing and working in distributed teams. 
• You have at least 4+ years of hands-on software development experience 
• You have excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
