Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager with expertise in C#, React, Node, TypeScript, AWS, and Docker. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of software engineers who will work on developing and maintaining software applications for our clients. You will be working closely with other departments, including product, design, and support to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of software applications by managing a team of software engineers
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet client expectations
  • Manage the entire software development lifecycle from project planning to deployment
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies that can improve the software development process
  • Communicate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide project updates
  • Identify and resolve issues, conflicts and challenges within the team
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability within the team
  • Provide regular performance feedback and coaching to team members
  • Managing two separate teams of 5 software engineers
  • Coordinating with other product and engineering leadership to define product roadmap

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with expertise in one or more of the following: C#, React, Node, Javascript, TypeScript, AWS, and Docker
  • 3+ years of experience in managing software development teams
  • Strong experience in technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching of software engineers
  • Ability to manage the entire software development lifecycle from project planning to deployment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Comfortable managing people and dealing with conflict

Bonus Requirements:

  • Experience growing and managing teams in a traditional management environment
  • Experience reevaluating the player-coach model within a software development team
