About the Team
Welcome to the Reporting team in Workday Analytics! This team is responsible for enhancing and scaling the reporting and analytics platform for large volumes of transactions for critically important business needs, interactive analytics and background extractions.
About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager with a strong background in building large scale systems. You will be responsible for projects associated with building reporting tooling for an engine to scale for Workday's large financial customers.
You will also be responsible for:
- Growing and developing a group of highly skilled, passionate software engineers
- Fostering a culture of collaboration with engineering and product leaders to set technical direction on requirements and scope
- Partnering with cross functional leaders and delivering the project milestones together
- Set team-level and engineering best practices
About You
Basic Requirements:
- 1+ years experience in a software engineering management role
Other Requirements:
- Proven experience in delivering large scale software products and services
- Great communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Strong industry experience in backend engineering
- Experience leading highly motivated engineering teams
- Ability to influence best engineering practices through solid decision making, processes and tools
- Experience in effectively working with cross-functional organizations
- Familiarity with recruiting high performing engineers
- Experience with Java

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations in the United States (US) are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location: USA.GA.Atlanta
Primary Location Base Pay Range: $142,400 - $213,600
Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $135,300 - $254,400
