Software Engineering Manager

We are looking for a deeply technical and hands on software engineering manager to lead our engineering teams responsible for building and improving the world largest online hub for renewable purchase agreements, The LevelTen Platform. You’ll be responsible for growing your teams of highly-skilled engineers and empowering them to do their best work as we advance our product to the next level. In this position you are expected to allocate about 50% to direct contributions to your team's software and 50% to growing engineers on your team and earning trust of your stakeholders, partners and customers.

Duties and Responsibilities :

•     Mentor, develop, and grow engineers on your team through actionable feedback on their work, regular one-on-one career growth conversations, and smart goal setting
•     Actively participate in technical design reviews to evangelize best practices for designing and architecting scalable, resilient and maintainable solutions
•     Regularly contribute to code development and to peer reviews of code developed by your team to make sure the team leverages the best practices and continuously improves efficiency, testability and maintainability of their software code.
•     Effective collaboration with other engineering teams and stakeholders in other disciplines such as product managers, user experience designers and the recruitment team.
•     Constantly look for ways to improve you team's productivity and your team’s working environment to fosters collaboration, open communication, and highest quality of results delivered to your customers.

Required experience and skills:

•     Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
•     5 or more years of experience as a software engineering on web applications
•     1 or more years leading other engineers or managing a team of engineers
•     Skilled in delivering features using JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, NodeJS, SQL and No-SQL
•     Experience designing features across user experience, services and data layers
•     Experience collaborating with with Product Manager and Program Manager prioritize and deliver features
•     Experience leading and mentoring engineers around SDLC best practices and processes
•     Strong communication skills and the confidence to lead and influence others

• The estimated compensation for this position is $170,000 - $220,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus and an equity grant.
