Software Engineering Manager

What You’ll Do
- Design and execute a recruiting strategy to build up a new engineering team
- Work with the leadership team to produce and deliver the production operations roadmap
- Create team processes to surface, triage, and resolve urgent issues quickly
- Mentor engineers and sponsor them for the right projects to deliver the best product while growing their skillset
- Identify and promote engineering best practices
- Advise leadership team on technical feasibility and implications of product decisions
What We Look For
- Experience managing engineering teams
- 5+ years of experience building and deploying scalable applications in the cloud
- Experience with Ruby on Rails
- Expertise in scoping large projects and initiatives into small iterations for release
- Clear and efficient communication skills
- Mentorship skills and the ability to give well-crafted constructive feedback
- Experience in a startup environment is not required but preferred
