Software Engineering Manager - AM2023SEM

Software Engineering Manager, Research and Advisory, FactSet Research Systems, Inc., Norwalk, CT. Manage a team of software engineers or projects within the Research and Advisory department. Duties include: Review product requirement documents; problem solving and working on high-level (operational or architectural) issues to ensure effectiveness of products under direct management; implements and tracks development timelines, and negotiates feature sets with development leads and product teams; sets goals and mentors development of ongoing projects; provides guidance and direction to team on software design and implementation; reviews code changes and submissions; presents technical & operational issues to senior management and sets deadlines and priorities for team members; helps to coordinate recruiting, training and new hire onboarding for immediate team.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or higher, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related technical field and 2 years of software engineering industry experience working with Git source code management, Heroku based container systems; Jenkins job runner to build and deploy code, JavaScript user interface framework (Angular, Knockout, React or VueJS), Server-Side JavaScript frameworks (NodeJS); Mobile testing platforms (BrowserStack); Automated testing frameworks (Protractor/Cypress); Unit tests using JavaScript frameworks (Jest or Jasmine); Web package managers (NPM, Yarn, Yarn 2+); and Agile work environment. Must have a full life cycle experience.

Basic pay range is one hundred twenty five thousand dollars to one hundred fifty-five thousand dollars per year for full -time employment (Mon. - Fri. 9-5).
