Software Engineering Manager - Philadelphia

Lutron is looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager who can lead the evolution of our software functional organization as we scale. This individual will chart a course in coordination with senior engineering leadership to establish a robust matrix software organization with tailored training, mentoring and growth paths for a wide range of software engineers. Our software team is passionate about building highly scalable and robust, world class systems that are reliable, responsive, and secure while providing an exquisite user experience.

In the Software Engineering Manager role, you will be the discipline champion for application software and will work with engineering and business leadership to establish functionally aligned software teams. Additionally, you will own the experienced application software hiring process.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing a team of senior software engineers

• Helping develop and maintain a strong engineering culture with the team
• Own the training, coaching and mentoring plan for the application software team
• Support the expansion of the software team, specifically assisting on recruiting experienced hires

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum, cumulative 3.0 GPA for all degrees earned
• 10 years of industry experience with 5 years in a technical leadership role
• Demonstrated success leading high performing teams
• A passion for team building, coaching and mentoring

• Familiarity with one or more relevant software technology (e.g. Cloud, IoT, Embedded Linux, etc.)
