Job Summary:
The RMD Innovation and Advanced Manufacturing team is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated team member to take on the role of Software Engineering Section Head within the Data Optimization and Visualization department. This person will be responsible for managing a team that creates and sustains Ignition applications in support of RMD Operations. The Software Engineering Section Head will work for the Data Optimization and Visualization department manager and will collaborate closely with factory leadership and Operations Engineering stakeholders. This person will be responsible for collaborating on our Ignition infrastructure roadmap with Digital Technologies and our Automation Systems Engineering department, as well as acting as the Product Owner for the Operations Engineering and Factory Support Agile team, utilizing SAFE (Scaled Agile Framework). This team is made up of members of the Software Engineering section as well as members of our Data Engineering section and is expected to deliver application, reporting, analytics, and visualization deliverables to Operations Engineering and our factories.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in building products and delivering value to RMD Operations
• Create and manage a roadmap for product releases and updates
• Act as the Product Owner for Ops Engineering and Factory Support using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE), coordinating the development of a wide variety of technology applications based on Operations' needs
• Provide technical design insight as well as solution architecture planning
• Work with customers and other leadership to align on priorities

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and 7 years relevant experience
• Experience with SQL
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
