Software Engineering Senior Advisor

Software Engineering Senior Advisor is responsible for designing, developing and optimizing data pipelines and architectures to support our data-driven initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of Databricks, PySpark, SQL, Teradata, data engineering best practices, and the ability to lead a team of data engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, AWS Glue, Teradata to extract, transform and load healthcare data from various sources into the common data warehouse.

• Developing and maintaining scalable data processing workflows and spark jobs.

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, providing guidance and support.

• Collaborating with data scientists, analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and design efficient data models and schemas.

• Ensuring data quality and integrity by implementing data validation checks and monitoring data pipelines for errors or anomalies.

• Optimizing query performance and resource utilization in job clusters to meet SLAs and support analytics and reporting needs.

• Implementing data security and privacy measures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data ingestion, processing, and storage in Data cloud.

• Documenting data engineering processes, standards, and best practices to facilitate knowledge share and maintain data lineage.

• Staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, spark, and Databricks to continuously improve data infrastructure and workflows.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making and contribute to the company’s overall data strategy within each data domain.
