Software Engineering Senior Manager (Data Science)- Work from home- Evernorth

As a part of analytics engineering space, this role will directly engage with the Machine Learning COE team to usher in emerging technology solutions for the enterprise and implement ETL solution in the cloud.

How you'll make a difference:

• Solve complex problems, inspire engineering talent, and deliver business capabilities that improve access to high performing providers.
• Develop strategies to support business capabilities on an enterprise-wide scale, delivering user-oriented products in a fast-paced and agile environment.
• Partner with various finance departments to identify and implement system enhancements in efficiency, accuracy, process improvements and automation, and user interface design.
• Drive opportunities to revolutionize workflow with embedded analytics, machine learning, and AI.
• Manage the planning and delivery of a consolidated, conformed enterprise data warehouse and data lake.
• Focuses on achievement of departmental goals and plays a significant part in achieving functional goals.
• Lead, manage and develop a high performing team.
• Hire and retain strong software engineering talent.
• Develop existing talent into full stack engineers.
• Provide your team with insight into the product roadmap and articulate technical direction and considerations.
• Enforce modern delivery practices such as continuous integration, behavior/test driven development.
• Performance management of direct reports
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

What you should have:

• 5+ years of experience of management experience.
• 5+ years of experience with data sources and platforms (Unix/Linux, Teradata, Hadoop, Spark, RDBMs like Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL/DB2, Kafka)
• 5+ years of experience designing and developing complex, large scale interactive applications with hands-on architectural, solutions-based or modular systems experience including Java, Python, React)
• Experience with Cloud native architecture preferred (AWS, ECS, Sagemaker, Redshift)
• Extensive knowledge data engineering
• Experience in green field products development
• Knowledge and experience with agile development process
• Strong programming skills with proficiency in one of the programming languages Java, Scala or Python and willingness to work on other languages in polyglot architecture as needed.
• Demonstrated ability in the application of Machine Learning/AI in real-world industrial settings with large scale data.
• High business acumen, Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
• Experience in Agile SDLC and working knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Terraform and Jira).

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 128,900 - 214,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
