Software Implementation Engineer

BASIC FUNCTION 

Software Implementation Engineer reports to the Manager, Technical Delivery and is responsible for the technical configuration of the Lumin Digital banking product and the conversion of data into the platform. The Software Implementation Engineer will consult with clients on the technical components of taking a digital banking client from the implementation kickoff through production launch, as well as on customizations, utilizing Lumin Digital’s SDK to provide custom solutions. The position requires a software technical background and strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Configure the digital banking product during and post implementation

Work as a technical advisor to the client and services team

Interface with the development, services, product, and support teams as part of cross functional collaboration

Support data conversion efforts associated with client launches, vendor changes and mergers and acquisitions

Troubleshoot debug and fix implementation issues

Support production operations as needed for technical issues

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Designing, developing documenting, and modifying software systems

Writing well-designed, testable, efficient, and maintainable code

Supporting the production operations of working software systems

Other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Implementation or development experience, especially in Digital banking or Financial services

Knowledge of cloud-native technologies, including Kibana, Docker, Kubernetes and AWS

Knowledge of Microservice architecture

Experience using relational databases with SQL

Experience with JIRA or other agile project management tools

Strong communication and presentation skills

Team player, flexible and fast thinker, especially during critical or stressful times

Able to multitask, prioritize, problem solve and work independently

EDUCATION

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, two years of work experience in the Software industry.
