Description
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for providing technical and operational expertise in data center systems, designing, implementing, and maintaining all infrastructure platforms and applications.
Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Engineer will include the design, building, and operation of network hardware, physical and virtual compute infrastructure, IP telephony systems, network attached storage (SANs), and public cloud servers and services.
The infrastructure engineer will also proactively gather information and utilize analytical and creative problem-solving skills, alongside standard processes, and technologies, to create efficient, secure, and reliable solutions for the business support and will collaborate closely with other members of the team to support the company and our employees to update infrastructure documentation, systems assessments, and report results.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Function as the information security subject matter expert for the entire technology ecosystem
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain IT and network infrastructure software and hardware
• Architect and engineer all technical resources (network, server, storage, packaged applications)
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver performant and cost-efficient solutions
• Accountable for use of services, handling of sensitive data, and resolving incidents
• Recommend and implement specific measures, process improvements, and best practices
• Function as the subject matter expert for the entire technology ecosystem
• After hours and on-call responsibilities
• Other duties as required
Education and Experience
1. 10+ years experience in broad/generalist IT functions [network, hardware, application, server] is required.
2. 5+ years experience with enterprise grade networking equipment, Experience with Cisco routing/switching configuration and troubleshooting.
3. 7+ years experience with data center virtualization technology (VMWare, Hyper-V) and enterprise (SAN) storage solutions.
4. 7+ years experience in Microsoft server and O365 administration is required.
5. 5+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure, in either AWS or Azure environment is required.
6. Shell or batch file scripting language software, MS Server 2016-2022, general networking, MS debugging tools.
7. Strong system administration (Linux/Unix and Windows) at the command-line level.
8. Experience in financial services or banking is preferred.
9. Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred.
10. Certification: Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, or other industry certifications preferred.
11. 3+ years experience with MDM/MAM Solutions is preferred.
Employment
1. This role is based out of Lakewood Ohio (Greater Cleveland). Local employment is ideal; however, we are accepting full-remote candidates willing to travel to the home office on an as-needed basis.
2. This position will require the ability to work flexible times including working beyond normal business hours on an "as needed" basis.
