Description

The Software Intern will help develop projects defined as a part of Franklin Electric strategic initiatives in Mobile Application software domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, test and deliver software features for the existing or new platforms.
• Know and follow existing software engineering best practices.
• Prepare design document and test procedures.
• Integrate existing library code developed by FE Engineers.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Skills and Abilities

• Possess programming skills and scripting experience (C, C++, C#, Python)
• Knowledge of developing PC applications
• Knowledge of designing multi-threaded PC applications
• Experience with micro-controller IDE design/development tools
• Understanding of communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C
• Knowledge of database technologies like MySQL, SQLite, etc.
• Understanding of RESTful services/APIs
• Knowledge of UI/UX development
• Familiarity with Git or SVN
• Understanding of software development practices

Education and Experience

Required:

• Enrolled in college
• Pursuing an Electrical or Computer Science related degree

Preferred:

• Senior standing
