Software Manipulation Intern

This internship will begin in May 2023, in our Waltham, MA office.

Project Description:

The Atlas R&D team is seeking an intern to support the development of new manipulation capabilities on Atlas. In this role, you will be responsible for helping to design and implement new planners and/or learned strategies for multi-step bimanual manipulation of complex, real-world objects. You will have the opportunity to work with leading researchers to develop your ideas and ground them in quality, tested software. You will frequently evaluate your work in simulation and on hardware, collaborating closely with the members of the Atlas team to integrate your work to expand the scope of the manipulation tasks solved by Atlas.

Desired Skills:

• Experience developing complex systems in C++ or Python.
• Linux systems and developer workflows.
• Current student enrolled in a Masters or PhD in Robotics, or a related field
