The Role

In this role you will be involved in designing, building, and supporting our insurance software platform, built on PHP, and its internal tools.

Please note: This is an on-site role with the requirement to be in the office at least 4 times per week.

In this role, your core responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Design and architect scalable, resilient Laravel-based applications.
• Partner up with Senior PHP/Laravel Developer to enhance new features and optimize existing ones.
• Integrate with third-party APIs like payment gateways, data providers, etc.
• Improve code quality through unit testing, automation, and best practices.
• Support transition of software to production and live environments, and
• Troubleshoot issues and outages in systems.

Requirements

Qualification skills necessary to perform the duties above:

• At least a bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 5+ years' experience with PHP and Laravel software framework
• REST APIs, MySQL, NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with AWS services like EC2, RDS, S3, etc.
• Comfortable with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery Patterns and their implementation. Understanding of test-driven development, CI/CD pipelines, and
• Extensive experience working with APIs and knowledge of HTTP and REST principles.
• Experience with Container platforms, including Docker, and supporting technologies such as Kubernetes, EKS, and ECS.

Insurance Domain Expertise:

• Experience in the insurance or insuretech industry preferred.
• Understanding of insurance business processes.
• Ability to learn and apply insurance domain knowledge.
• Knowledge of policy admin systems, rating, underwriting.
