AssetWorks is seeking an experienced Product Owner for our industry leading Enterprise Asset & Fleet management products. We are looking for a results-driven self starter who will be responsible for defining, prioritizing and ensuring the timely release of our software products. As a key member of the product development team, you will collaborate cross-functionally across product management, UI/UX, development and test to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. This position will be responsible for driving adherence to agile principals managing release planning and ensuring on time release of innovation to our customers.
Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set user story standards and ensure test and acceptance criteria for them
- Work with Product Manager and UX to refine user stories
- Monitor and enforce Jira Hygiene
- Facilitate feature / bug / tech debt prioritization with Product Managers
- Facilitate / ensure yearly, release, and sprint work plans
- Manage backlog continuously prioritizing and adjusting based business
- Regularly communicate status, escalate issues and remove blockers
- Establish and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Act as a Release Manager to help plan releases and ensure timely delivery.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related STEM field from an accredited college or university. Asset Management domain knowledge and/or experience working with state and local governments is a plus.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
• 10 years in enterprise software development• Prior experience as a product owner, scrum master or software product management• Experience using Jira to build and track epics and user stories and construct release pipeline• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.• Experience with overseeing CI/CD pipelines • Skilled at collaborating across departments and internal stakeholders• An ability to drive product decisions often across stakeholder with incomplete information• Must be able to work with changing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment• Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar certification is a plus.• Travel: Less than 10%• After-Hours work: Some required• Soft skills
