Responsibilities:

• The Software Program Manager will define, develop, and drive the program strategy for the existing products within BD biosciences.
• This would include gaining alignment on portfolio strategy with cross-functional and regional stakeholders for different programs.
• Able to take action in solving problems and making decision while showing good judgement and a realistic understanding of issues. Able to use reason, even when dealing with competing high priorities and emotional topics.
• Own software lifecycle management of the product in portfolio, and define the product roadmaps, product requirements, engage and guide our R&D teams to deliver high impact to support our customers.
• Help to design go-to-market strategies by working closely with the Commercial PM team/Marketing and subsequently, provide support for launch initiatives and go-to-market launch plans for the US & Regional Markets
• Become a subject matter expert on the product(s) software solutions and capabilities.
• Interface closely with Functional program leaders at all levels in the organization
• Build strong relationships and collaborations with R&D, PMO office, Commercial, Regulatory, Finance and other key functions and teams.
• Build products roadmaps and prioritization of projects.
• Prioritize different features implementation in Software across multiple programs.
• Lead gathering of customer feedback on product concepts and manage early access programs.
• Travel up to 10% (when permitted)

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of product management experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotech industry
• Bachelor's degree required in biomedical, software or any other engineering subject area, Advanced degrees /MBA or certifications preferred.
• Understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle process
• Have some prior Software development experience.
• Strong business acumen and aptitude for customer requirements with new product introductions
• A proven track record of working with and leading cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to develop long-term product strategies and go-to-market plans.

• Has experience, knowledge and passion for product development and ability to lead a small development team to support multiple products.
• Has practical knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and other processes.
• Certification in Agile or PMP is preferred.
• Experience working in regulated environment is a plus.
• Flow cytometry experience is a plus.
