THE POSITION
The Software Project Manager is responsible to lead complex, multi-component software projects, with the objective of delivering high-quality Software to our customers. The Software Project Manager will be the overall leader for the project to ensure timing, delivery, performance, quality and cost are achieved. You will be working in VED projects that develop products with the objective of Saving Lives.
Core Responsibilities: • Responsible for the operational supervision of the SW project• Responsible for an excellent communication with all of our stakeholders• Plans, coordinates and directs the software project development team• Interface between our Customers and the North America SW team • Develop, maintain and communicate a software plan which includes software content and timing• Understand Customer software delivery requirements and priorities • Integrate and deliver of ECU software to vehicle bench development per defined schedule• Participate in Engineering and Product Development meetings• Track, assign and close open issues• Provide support to Vehicle application teams for identification of root cause for issues and corrective action plans• Identify risks and manage the risks• Prepare and present responses to action items• Ensure all aspects of production processes for software and calibration programming are validated
Additional Responsibilities:• Execute project per Continental PLC Procedure• Being part of a multinational team of engineers and responsible for software deliverables • Ensure end to end software deliverables of the project according to customer/internal milestones, required scope and quality (including 3rd party software components)• Assure that the SW project is run according to the valid development processes (Internal Processes, ASPICE, ISO26262, etc.)

Job Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or a related discipline• Minimum of 5 years of Software Project Management relevant experience• Experience in embedded software development• System and Product knowledge (e.g., AUTOSAR, Microcontroller & HW knowledge, Single/ Multicore Architecture, Design Frameworks, Embedded Operating Systems, Bus Systems, Production Process Know How)• Knowledge of the SW development process, tools, methods (I.e., Software configuration management system like MKS, Jazz, DOORS, Git, etc.) and industrialization• Knowledge of Structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D problem solving methodology)• Willing to travel overseas for training and/or projects on short notice • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to build relationships• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Masters in Computer Science/Engineering, or a related discipline• Minimum of 7 years of Software Project Management relevant experience.• Experience in Agile development process is a plus• Experience in Automotive Engineering field is a plus• Proactive - seeking out open issues and actively persuading global team members to close them out - not waiting for things to happen
