Software Project Manager

Software Project Manager in Irvine, CA.

Duties

• Responsible for the delivery, coordination, status reporting and management of complex projects for high-profile clients
• Lead project management of multiple projects, in a cross-functional environment
• Leverage your knowledge of current web/software technologies and business applications for competitive advantages
• Release management and versioning control
• Drive the execution of project plans and teamwork assignments and escalate functional/quality/timeline issues appropriately and ensures issue resolution
• Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of the project
• Prepares relevant status reports
• Coordinate communication with all areas that impact the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed
• Coordinate change requests from original specifications and ensure proper change communication and impact analysis
• Drive project scheduling, resource allocation and forecasting, time entry, and project controls through the standard project management tools to ensure proper budget allocation and capitalization
• Maintain a high level of trust and confidence

Requirements

• Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, and five years of experience in project or product management or software engineering
• Position also requires knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
• Experience interacting with engineers, business analysts, quality assurance analysts, and designers on a highly collaborative development team
• Some knowledge and familiarity of web technologies or languages (HTML, CSS, SQL, etc.)
• Extensive knowledge and expertise of project management methodologies and tools

Salary: $128,000/yr to $148,000/yr.
