Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA and is seeking a Software Project Manager. This is a full-time position based in Mclean, VA. This is a hybrid role. 3 days a week onsite required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage software development and modernization projects using Agile methodologies
• Serve as primary interface to client stakeholders and manages multiple internal business and technical resources.
• Be the single point-of-contact to the client for the project
• Implement a communication strategy to measure progress and broadcast project status to all appropriate personnel.
• Develop and maintain project plans utilizing Microsoft Project.
• Collects and documents requirements into formalized requirements documentation
• Assist in the creation and review of project related design, implementation, testing, and users guide documentation.
• Ensure the generation of high-quality work products on-time delivery, and under budget.
• Remain up to date on all current best practices, trends, and industry developments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or IT, or related discipline is required.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a customer facing Project Manager with a focus on Software Development projects
• Experience managing software development projects that utilize business process workflows
• PMP certification, or related certification
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and experience with client engagement
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, and MS Office Products.
• Ability to lead through influence; negotiate and gain consensus between clients and team
• Able to manage urgent deliverables and issues
• Previous government experience would be preferred
• Resourceful, true self-starter, can do attitude, leader
