Software Project Owner

This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment in Troy, MI or Carmel, IN.

Summary:

Our embedded group design, develop, and validate advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) to enhance vehicle safety. Studies show just a half a second more warning can mitigate or prevent 60 percent of accidents. In this role, as a Software Project Owner, you own every aspect of software delivery, works across multiple teams, internal and external to orchestrate coherent integration and works with the customer to ensure quality, timeline and on budget delivery of the software program.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the software engineering customer communication for the assigned project
• Work with stakeholders, customers, others to understand needs, split Capabilities to define and prioritize Features
• Work with release management to define customer releases and solution increments
• Owns total software program quality
• Aligns with platform/component owners on PI customer objectives
• Responsible for working with competency leads and/or Engineering Program Leaders in identifying and fulfilling staffing assignments for the engineering projects
• Plan and coordinate software development activities with other global sites

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (electrical, systems, computer science, software, computer or related field of study)
• 7+ years of experience in software development and delivery
• 5+ years of experience in delivering large scale software programs
• 5+ years of experience working directly with customers
• Expert knowledge of Software project management methods and tools
• Experience with Agile development/management techniques
• Experience with globally distributed teams
• Knowledge of Software Quality processes (e.g. ASPiCE)
• Experience with integration and functional testing
• Experience with monitoring quality using CI/CD and DevOps systems

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):

• Experience with Autonomous Driving Active Safety
• Master's degree in Computer Engineering with relevant years of experience
• 10+ years of software development and delivery
