Software QA Analyst

Title: Software QA Analyst

We are seeking a Software QA Analyst responsible for testing internal reporting solutions within a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will take a framework of acceptance criteria and briskly design a suite of robust tests that comprehensively verify changes. Your experience with agile methodologies makes you an essential part of diverse teams that implement sophisticated software solutions to business-centric challenges. Dedication to quickly finding bugs is critical to achieving success in this role.

Responsibilities :

• Thoroughly understand the implications of a business challenge and design a testbed that verifies every aspect of the proposed reporting solution
• Identify potential risks and expertly communicate methods of mitigation
• Complete impact analysis that permits you to build dynamic Regression suites for targeted test verification that spans integrations
• Smoothly perform cross-team functions, focus on deadlines and deliverables, and find bugs quickly
• Detail-oriented while spotting formatting and consistency issues.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with relevant experience.
• 3 to 5 years of work experience in reporting or software manual testing.
• Position is onsite located in Houston, TX.
• Experience creating test plans/test cases using JIRA/Azure DevOps
• Specific software testing experience: Database testing, Reports testing, Dashboard's testing
• Experience with RDBMS: Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle
• Experience with Agile methodology for software development (Scrum and Kanban)
• Advanced SQL skills.

Experience in the following areas is desirable

• Test automation Load/performance testing tools
• Data Transformation Tools: Informatica, Matillion, SSIS, Alteryx
• Reporting Tools: Tableau, Cognos, Power BI, Sisense, Incorta
• CRM Tools: Microsoft Dynamics 365
• ERP Systems: Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle EBS, JD Edwards
• ALM Tools: JIRA
• Discrete manufacturing operations
