Software QA Analyst

The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will be an integral part of the Information Technology (IT) team that will be responsible for performing testing and validation for various strategic initiatives including but not limited to Solis-Hospital system integration, EMR implementation, etc. The Software QA Analyst will be involved in multiple IT projects in a fast-paced environment, providing necessary support to other QA team members, as well as for the Project team. 

RESULTS MEASURED BY THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understands and promotes the Solis Way.
• Actively participates in projects and provides guidance around Quality Assurance processes.
• Works collaboratively with developers, business analysts, IT engineers, Project Managers, and other Quality Assurance teammates to ensure high-quality releases.
• Analyzes business and systems requirements to generate test scenarios, and requirements traceability matrix.
• Creates and maintains detailed, comprehensive test cases that cover all functional and non-functional aspects of the product.
• Ensures test cases are aligned with project requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Conducts manual and automated tests to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
• Documents and reports test results, providing clear and concise reports to the development team; Tracks and captures defects.
• Identifies, documents, and tracks defects using designated tools or systems.
• Collaborates with developers to investigate, reproduce, and resolve reported issues.
• Performs regression testing to ensure that new features or enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
• Participates in process improvement initiatives to enhance testing methodologies and techniques.
• Uses problem-solving, critical thinking skills, and independent thinking to overcome challenges.
• Communicates in writing and verbally and with clarity.
• Adapts to cultural and organizational climates.
• Optimizes experiences and relationships with team members.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1+ years industry experience, required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field or any imaging related work experience, preferred.
• Healthcare experience is a plus!
• Basic understanding of Quality Assurance terminology, processes, and tools.
• Possess a good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with EMR, EHR, HL7, FHIR, eRAD, PACS, HL7 is a huge plus!
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management software such as HP ALM, JIRA, etc.
• Goal-oriented, action-focused, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to think like a customer.
• Previous experience managing people and teams is a plus.
• Excellent command of verbal and written communication for all levels of stakeholders.
• Competent in QA tools such as HP ALM, Jira, MS Office Suite including SharePoint.
• Practices breakthrough thinking – “Big Picture” and “Outside the Box”.
