With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. Central Engineering is KLA's largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition, Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering, among others. Talent includes over 500 engineers across global centers in Israel, China, India, and the US. Each CoE contributes not just talent and deliverables per discipline toward product programs, but also subject matter expertise, best practices, roadmaps, specialized facilities, apparatus, models, and analytics. These differentiate KLA not only in WHAT we do, but also in HOW we do it.

Software Quality Engineering (SQE) is functional group part of central engineering at KLA. SQE's mission is to enable quality consciousness at every step of software development and deployment that leads to superior customer satisfaction. DevOps, test automation and product quality engineering are key functions of SQE that drives internal software quality through CI/CD and external software quality through full flow software testing, exploratory testing, and customer collaboration.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a passionate Software Quality Engineer who will join our world-class software team to plan, manage, execute, and report results for all testing activities. Person will be an effective team player and leader that will be responsible for the quality of all released products. Person will be a strong process advocate with an acute attention to detail and desire to continually improve the testing process. Person must be able to partner with other functional teams to resolve quality issues quickly.

Key Responsibilities includes:
  • Understand IC Design and its use in developing wafer inspection solutions and test cases.
  • Participate in software development life cycle with an understanding on how to establish test scenarios to validate functionality and robustness of the software releases.
  • Develop detailed test cases covering all forms of testing (functional/requirements based, regression, performance, reliability) for complex systems
  • Collaborate with Software, System and Application Engineers to develop test plans. Execute manual and automated test cases in Software UI, machine control, algorithms of complex systems.
  • Work with Software Developers, Application Engineers in designing and reviewing User stories, Test cases, Test Scenarios, Test Scripts, and Test Plans in both manual and automated test frameworks.
  • Willing to work with global team members across multiple time zones daily.
  • Ability to technically interact with Algorithms, System Engineering, Application Engineering, Marketing and Manufacturing, Customer Support team for various needs across the globe.

Other Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Represent SQE team in product life cycle and key program meetings
  • Performs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.
  • Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable quality standards.
  • Ensures that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements.
  • Responsible for developing, applying, and maintaining quality standards for company products.
  • Gain systems/applications-engineering level knowledge of highly complex, leading-edge products by working with cross functional team during the product development process.

Qualifications/Education Desired:
  • BS required in Software, Electronics, or related technical field.
  • Knowledge of creating test scripts using WebDriver and Selenium-IDE and automating test cases using TestNG and Junit is a plus.
  • Some experience in Product or Software testing or characterization in an engineering capacity.
  • Availability for travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Passion for Software Quality and Technology.
  • Excellent analysis and systematic troubleshooting/problem solving skills
  • Results-oriented, with emphasis on attention to detail and driven to excel.
  • Ability to react well to changes, multi-task on multiple projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Master's Level Degree or work experience of 0 years , Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 1 years
