Software QA Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Peloton is looking for Software Quality Assurance Engineers to join our QA team. This role will be mainly focused on Android application tests, Android system tests, bike/treadmill full system tests, and project management. The candidate will also be developing the test cases for both manual and automation tests, designing the test plan, issue tracking, and coordinating resources in order to ensure product quality is up to Peloton's standard and meet production schedules.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

• Work with engineers and product managers to understand Product Features, build, implement, maintain and improve testing approaches for the iOS App
• Ensure appropriate coverage across all levels of testing including integration and E2E tests
• Help in driving adoption of standard methodologies in testing and in maintainability
• Provide technical testing as well as your user mindset expertise from project inception
• Help the team to develop rich test ideas, scenarios and experiments that yield an in-depth coverage of systems under test (well above and beyond positive, negative and edge cases)
• Be an integral part of the agile development workflow and an advocate for testing and quality within the engineering teams you work with, from standups to sprint planning to backlog refinement and long-term planning
• Be able to act as release-engineer for multifunctional teams

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

• 6+ years of hands-on experience Leading QA on App platforms
• Advocate for user experiences that delight our members
• Experience working with multi-functional agile teams and delivering products, collaborating with Design, UX, Project Management, and Product Management.
• The ability to accomplish complex engineering tasks independently and capacity to work in a high growth, fast-paced environment.
• Experience with API (monolith and service architecture) testing, contract testing, and Visual testing.
• Experience with Swift and XCUI Testing Proven understanding of Git workflow
• Experience collaborating with developers on test automation scenarios, by pairing, reviewing unit tests and coaching on testing best practices
• Understand and advocate for CI/CD with experience with tools like Jenkins, CircleCI etc Working experience with setting up and configuring CI tools like Jenkins or CircleCI
• Bonus: Hands-on experience in setting up automated testing rigs with physical devices (iOS)
• Bonus: Hands-on experience with setting up and configuring CircleCI and Fastlane jobs
• Bonus: Hands on experience with Product Analytics and App Performance tools

Base Salary: $117,700.00 to $152,900.00

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
