Responsibilities

Client is recruiting a highly experienced and effective QA Engineer/Automation 2 resource to assist the Technology and Data: Service Validation and Testing team. This position will report to the IT Manager of the Service Validation and Testing team located at the customer's site in Austin, Texas. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in manual software testing and be primarily responsible for Leading the Test process and responsible for software testing and other aspects of the software testing life cycle including drafting a Test Plan, test script validation and execution, and defect management.

WORKER SKLILS AND QUALIFICATIONS (Required)

This position provides software quality assurance services and will include, but not be limited to, the following:

1. Analyze functional, service level and technical requirements and use cases.
2. Write high quality deliverables such as test plans, manual test scripts.
3. Cross reference test scripts with requirements.
4. Execute a wide range of quality-control testing to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards including functional, regression, integration, performance, and compliance tests.
5. Conduct manual testing of software applications.
6. Document all detected issues and variances and assist in their resolution.
7. Work with cross functional teams, including technical, project, customer, and vendors.
8. Clearly document and communicate inconsistencies, issues.
9. Lead Test status and defect triage meetings with project team.
10. Lead/facilitate User Acceptance testing.
11. Send out timely testing status reports to the project team.
12. Follow defined client's IT standards and procedures in the creation of Test Plan/scenarios.
13. Assist with automated test scripts with knowledge in test automation frameworks.

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in Business or Computer Science or in a field related to the job. (Education or experience may be substituted up to a maximum of four (4) years)
