Software QA/Test Engineer

Advantest Test Solutions (ATS) in Irvine, CA has an immediate need for a Software Quality Assurance/Test Engineer. ATS has an exciting line of software applications that control and manage massively parallel test systems for the semiconductor industry around the world. We are committed to producing the highest quality software possible for all product lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software QA, software test and software metrics.

Essential Duties Responsibilities:

• Work with internal teams to identify level of testing, including unit and model testing.
• Develop and execute software test cases/plans on hardware
• Help apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle.
• Gather Product Requirements, Plans, Protocols and execute tests.
• Identify key software performance indicators and produce KPI reports.
• Establish robust bug-tracking system and track resolution.
• Work with QA department to assist in ISO and CMMI certifications.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements, Education Skills:

• Requires a B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related discipline or its equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of Software QA/Test experience in support of software product development and release processes.
• Experience with Agile / Scrum methodology.
• Experience in C# programming language.
• Experience with software tracking tools like Azure, JIRA and similar DevOps.
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle processes and software QA processes.
• Hands on experience with automated testing, writing test scripts, unit testing 'black box' 'white box' testing.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• This is an on-site role in our Irvine, CA office. Must be willing to work on-site daily and travel if needed.
