The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution - from technologies and investments to supply chain, manufacturing and test operations, facilities management, and information technology services.
Software Quality Assurance Analyst Associate
The purpose of this position is to ensure quality testing of in-house developed, On-Prem, SaaS and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) software that is used by employees of Ball Aerospace. Utilizing software testing principles, analysis, and design, the successful candidate will work closely with subject matter experts, developers, and product managers to ensure thorough, repeatable, and scalable automated tests.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct all aspects of testing and analysis in a highly integrated, complex, regulated environment for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Supply Chain software.
- Perform deep analysis and evaluation of potential defect or design flaws using an array of technical tools and languages.
- Create repeatable manual and automated test procedures to shorten test cycles and provide broader and deeper coverage using in-house tools.
- Maintain, monitor, and enhance the test environments as needs and requirements change.
- Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for completing systems.
- Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.
- Execute using manual and automated processes to address change in software, hardware, and database systems in test environment.
- Occasionally participate in weekend go-live/cutover activities for large upgrades or new system implementation.
- Perform maintenance and housekeeping on existing manual and automated test for regression testing.
- Follow documented or established procedures to perform quality assurance activities.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units, and the Company. Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's in Information Technology or a related technical field.
Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education. - Experience with Silk Central (Silk Test) Software.
- Experience writing SQL, PL-SQL, and T-SQL for test and analysis purposes across enterprise and ancillary databases.
- Experience creating test conditions using manual and automated processes to address change in software, hardware, and database systems in test environment.
- Experience performing regression testing on enterprise and ancillary applications, application integration bus, and varying systems for all changes.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
- Experience in software quality assurance and automated testing techniques.
- Experience with multiple testing environments including dev/test/prod.
Hybrid Work Environment: This position may be performed working from both the office and another location, while typically requiring working in the office less than 3 days per work week. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Compensation & Benefits:
- HIRING SALARY RANGE: $60,500 - $82,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
